I'm curious.
I support anyone who wants to become an American and who also respects the rule of law.
Should Americans be allowed to sneak into Mexico (or Canada, or France), only to turn around and demand citizenship?
I don't think so.
I don't consider that very fair at all. It certainly isn't fair to those who respect a nation's laws, got into line, and are seeking citizenship on that country's terms -- not their own.
I'm kind of torn on the issue, being an immigrant myself. But my family immigrated here legally and took many years to be able to.
